Abstract

As the society has been changing, engaging with communities is also expected as a role of universities. In this talk, I will introduce ongoing projects for local communities, which are planed and managed by Center for Community Revitalization of Tokushima University. This university provides an essential place to connect with local communities, i.e., “Future Center” that involve citizens, workers, companies, governments, students, and researchers in active learning projects to create vitality in their communities with out-of-the-box ideas, free speech, and so on. I will discuss the tips for facilitating community engagement and the needs of digital technologies, which has a potential of effective support for their activities from learning ongoing practices.
